Uncommon resident in south of region. First seen in Herefordshire in 2011 but may well be increasing in numbers like it is doing further East in the country.

Helminthotheca echiodes with larva feeding in the flower or seed-heads, September-May and July/August.

Verification Grade Comment: Grade 3 in Staffordshire.
