Mining the bark on twigs of Cytisus scoparius with larva feeding from October to May, making long brown/black galleries in the green bark. Egg case visible at the start of the mine and initially mining downwards, which distinguishes it from the similar mine of Leucoptera spartifoliella. Adult moths sit low down on the stems of broom in the day and sometimes come to light at night.
