Uncommon resident restricted to the north west of our region.

Larva .feeds Carex spp. epecially Carex flacca, in a gallery, initially feeding upwards towards the tip and later down towards the base. Pupates in the angle of a lower leaf.

Recorded in 4 (3%) of 140 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1883.
Last Recorded in 1931.
